Congregational Care

A mark of a great church is the love and care members show for one another and for others in the community.

Visitation Team is a group of men and women who visit parishioners and others in the community who are hospitalized, recovering at home after surgery, unable to leave home due to chronic illness, suffering a loss in their family, or living in a long term care facility. Members of this team attend three training sessions led by our Stephen Ministry.

Meals-On-Wings is composed of people who prepare and deliver meals to the homes of people that the Visitation Team recommends.

Parish Nurse Program invites persons who are in the health care field to work with the Visitation Team, giving medical advice and information. Currently, blood pressure screening is offered after worship on the last Sunday of each month.

Maureen's Haven is an ecumenical program to provide shelter, food, clean clothing, and fellowship to the homeless in the area. Members of the Visitation Team and other members of the congregation help with this outreach.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is an opportunity for new members of the church to become better acquainted with others.

Informational Evenings on personal and family well being are in the developmental stage, and events will be announced.
